PUBLIC PROPERTY AND PARKS........Effective June 18, 2008 it is unlawful to remain on public property or in Town parks after dusk.  Violators will be issued a municipal infraction and fine.

MEETINGS....The Mayor and Council will hold it's regular meeting on August 4, 2010 at 7:30 PM.  The Planning Commission will meet July 22, 2010.  To address the Mayor and Council or the Planning Commission with a concern, complaint, or to address a situation, contact the Town Office two weeks prior to the scheduled meeting to be included on the agenda. 

BUILDING PERMITS...."Any owner who intends to construct, enlarge, alter, repair, move, demolish, or change the occupancy of a building or structure; or to erect, install, enlarge, alter, repair, remove, convert or replace any electrical, gas, mechanical, or plumbing system, or to cause any such work to be done shall make application to the Town and obtain the required permit," as stated in the International Residential Code.  Permits are also required for installation of a fence, dog kennel, utility shed, deck, patio, and pool.  If in doubt contact the Town office or the Town Administrator to determine the need for a building permit.

WATER CONSERVATION.....Review conservation tips on the web page "Public Services" under "Water & Sewer".  Practicing conservation tips may decrease the total expense of your water bill each quarter.

TOWN OF MILLINGTON SWEATSHIRTS....The Town of Millington has sweatshirts available for sale for $15 a piece.  Stop by to purchase your sweatshirt today.

CURB-SIDE RECYCLING.....The Town of Millington recently signed a contract with Infinity Recycling to handle curb-side recycling for the Town.  To sign up for recycling or obtain additional containers call Infinity at 410-778-5949.

SWIMMING POOLS.....Anyone interested in installing a pool 4 feet deep or larger must have an approved permit and must have yard fenced in per BOCA regulations.  Complete the permit application and submit to the Town Office for approval before the summer begins.

MILLINGTON DAY 2010.....We will be hosting a family fun-filled day on August 21, 2010, Millington Day 2010.  Events scheduled include a car show at Robvanary Park, a motorcycle show on Railroad Avenue, a horse shoe tournament at Cajun Mo's, a cornhole tournament at Robvanary Park, craft and food vendors along Hurtt Avenue, and live music in front of the Fire House.  Parking is available at Millington Elementary School with a shuffle available to and from the activities.  Anyone interested in becoming a vendor or participating please call 410-928-3880.
